The Fla. Supreme Court never ordered her to accept the handcounts, only ordered her to allow the counties until November 26 at 5pm to count them and submit those counts. The Fla. Supreme Court in no way can define Sexy Harris' exercise of discretion as Sec of State. Harris knows the Fla. Legislature is behind her. She could well decide not to accept the handcounts basing that decision on a lack of standards and uniformity in the handcounts, thus infringing on the franchise of other Florida Voters.

Voltaire,

I do not envy Kathleen Harris' position. Ms. Harris probably should have recused herself, like the governor from the state of Florida, due to her close political affiliation with George Bush. She's been unjustly vilified by the editorial opinion of every major liberal news publication in this country, including the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times.

Having said the above, I honestly believe she is doing the best job she can under the current political circumstances.

Regards,
