Tony Viola,
I'm still dazzled by this information. Sun, who builds the machines that run the Internet. The machines have no ECC. ECC is a critical error checking function and machines are subject to crashing without it. Sun has no intention to install ECC on current machines due to expense and the fact that they sell well without ECC.

That would make a great Technology article. I'm not a technology person, but it sounds scary to me. If I were an investment analyst covering SUNW, I might take Sun off my long term investment list. If this problem started showing up on a regular basis combined with a high profile breaking story on the lack of ECC, Sun sales and stock price could travel south at light speed.
