I concur there are other representatives present besides the canvassing board officials. These other representatives are observers who may lodge a complaint, but have no voting powers for or against any of the disputed ballots. I have no reason to alter my assessment of who is divining the voters intent at this point in time. I've actually watched the process live. The newly divined votes are being determined by democratic majorities in all cases, all democrats in at least one county & in another county there is no republican (2 dem & 1 independent) divining new votes. Only 2 of the 3 partisan officials are needed to divine a new vote or invalidate it. Please correct me if I have misunderstood how this process is working. Until then, my interest is in how the perception of reality is being adjudicated.......... If most folks can understand the concept that, logically, Gore stands to reap the lions share of newly divined votes in these four Democratic strongholds, then they should be able to grasp the following; - Daley/Gore preaching a concept of ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!, never mind, Rule of Law being trumped by The Will of the People. - Daley/Gore specifically targeted democratic strongholds & requested manual recounts there, rather than requesting a statewide recount. Their request was not due to machine failure or fraud. Daley/Gore continued to insist to the world that ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED! Never mind that the most disputed votes will be divined by partisan county officials. Never mind that ALL of these ballots will be divined by partisan democratic majorities or all democratic officials. Never mind that the standards to divine a voters intent has changed repeatedly & in one case, written standards in one county were changed to a far less restrictive standard after the election! - The public is informed that manual recounts of this type typically result in additional votes to be counted. Statisticians explained how this would clearly favor the person who won the machine count. Never mind that this type of machine ballot results in the highest error rate when they are manually recounted. Never mind that FL law does not have statewide standards for a manual recount of ballots, meaning there likely will be newly divined votes counted in one county that would be invalidated or not even considered in another county..... & in the counties that were not manually recounted, a totally different standard was applied to count these ballots. In the end (if it is allowed to stand), the totals derived via multiple standards will result in a new certified vote count in Florida. - Daley/Gore were silent on requesting manual recounts in the rest of the state which include many counties where Bush won handily. Daley/Gore/Leiberman took NO affirmative action to include ALL votes in the state of Florida..... Daley/Gore/Leiberman only targeted Democratic strongholds & rigorously pursued recounts only in these strongholds. However, Daley/Gore never stopped their mantra, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED! - The Daley/Gore campaign devised & executed a full blown assault on the absentee military vote to have them disqualified. We are informed that the Democrats sent scores of lawyers with a 5 page playbook detailing how to protest these absentee ballots. We are informed many were rejected on a number of technicalities even though many were within the requirements of FL state law &/or federal law. Daley/Gore have loudly, frequently & publicly continued their mantra, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!, in the recounts of the four democratic strongholds they targeted for additional votes, even going to court to force one county to resume their count. However, their calls that, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!, regarding the military right to vote have been hollow at best by comparison. They have yet to speak loudly or forcefully about the military/absentee vote & Gore/Leiberman/Daley have taken NO affirmative action to insure that indeed, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED! Yes, if Gore should manage to win in FL, it will be interesting to see national & global reconciliation of all of this information in their personal perceptions of reality. Eventually this election process will conclude & a president-elect will be selected. IMVHO, it will be very interesting indeed..... to see overall perceptions of how Daley/Gore/Leiberman divined the meaning of, ALL VOTES MUST BE COUNTED!, when considering their actions in achieving that standard in Florida........ Will it be indicative of how they will rule this country? Ö¿Ö
