Your first retort has no basis in law, Constitutional, statutory, or otherwise. Your second retort is possibly realistic in its holding, but beyond the ken of reality in its remedy. I won't forget the Florida Chief Justice (bless his heart) holding his hands out and asking the lawyers how to get the will of the people counted. WRONG QUESTION, EVEN THOUGH APPEALING. He should have asked about five different questions about voting and counting issues. TOTAL P.R. The US Supremes won't fall for it, imho.

P.S. If one really seeks the will of the people, why restrict it without exception (except for some Florida counties and St. Louis, MO,) to just several hours on just one day, every four years, to people who can muster themselves out of their houses to cast a pimpled chad in favor of someone who only Karnac the Magnificant can divine?
