When they open that can of worms, they will probably live to regret it. The Miami-Dade Canvassing Board twice voted against recounts days before any demonstrators showed up. Only after intense political pressure did they change their position. The nature of that pressure will, of course, have to be investigated at the same time. Perhaps a subpoena of the telephone records is in order.

A public investigation will be most welcome. Boies is entitled to his opinion, and the entire thing is on film. I can't wait to watch the replay. I'll be looking for young thugs and the punches. They will undoubtedly be found right next to those rabid dogs Jesse Jackson mentioned.
