Just looking at the CSCO web page.. Here's just a partial list of publicly announced VoIP service provider customers. I didn't even look at Asia, NZ/Australia, South America.. and this list is probably only 25% of the number of carriers CSCO sells VoIP to in Europe and the US.

Bell Atlantic
Qwest
PSINet
SBC
Concert (BT/AT&T)
Cable and Wireless
Equant
Energis
Inter-tel.NET
SITA
Worldstar Comm
Telnext
AcNet
BACTEL
Bullseye Telecom
CTC Communications
EDSI Solutions
EXENET
iCALL
ICG Communications
Igaea
Internet Global Services
Interpacket Networks
Interpath Communications
IP Services Inc.
Ipirion AG
ISP Channel
ITXC
NetVoice

........ argh....I'm tired... go check the site for yourself. CSCO has a few more carrier customers for VoIP than I've listed here <vbg>

Of course they have an even larger number of enterprise customers. ;-)
Bazillion (who?)

SONS has $23M in sales, I don't know if CSCO breaks down their sales numbers into the same categories, but I will look. I am certain that CSCO has done more than $23M in sales to service providers for VoIP solutions. Since SONS includes switch sales, I assume that CSCO gets to as well? The Phoenix provided you with a pretty good list for CSCO's SP customers, so I won't belabor that.

In addition, CSCO has both service provider and enterprise voice solutions, just as the leaders in the days of the circuit switch did (and do). Where is SONS enterprise solution? Who of the several other enterprise VoIP vendors has a complete product line like CSCO?

I agree that the field is still open, but I do believe that CSCO has the inside line on VoIP solutions for both the enterprise and service provider.
