If Mr Gore should prevail by a dimple, I suspect he will end up blood on his hands. Quite a lot of it. And, a seriously wounded nation.

How to avoid with a minimum of fuss?

Dem leaders could call for him to back off.

PBC could slow the action enough to blow the Sunday deadline. BTW, anyone notice Boies already threatening to sue PBC for going too slow?

US SC ruling could settle.

FWIW, at this time, with the US SC in the game, I don't think any of the lower courts will be in a rush to rule on anything of consequence.
