< Once George Bush takes office look for the market to pop back to the 200 dma and then we'll see what the real deal is on this economy, not just the bullshit analyst downgrades to scare us retail investors out of their shares cheap. >

IMO the analysts have for years been changing the rules to justify the lofty stock prices.... their dis-service has been in creating the mantra 'stocks for the long' run NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE. I don't consider the market or IBM 'cheap' by any measure... especially historically. If you think "it's different this time" you may have a point.

Past share sales by LVG have ALWAYS preceeded a IBM rise

IMHO Mr G times his sales to avoid employee criticism etc.

If you want to get a feel for IBM's emerging chip prowess study the tech superiority of Nintendo's coming 450mz PowerPC "GameCube".

A gamestation ?:

nikkeibp.asiabiztech.com

Who sez IBM can't keep a secret ? A little late arriving but can you say , like LVG sez , "Network Appliance" ?

Incidently ArtX is owned by ATI who supplies AAPL with its Radeon Video chip .

IBM supplies AAPL its G3 PowerPCs and may also supply G4s which are found in its Cube . MOT makes the Cube's G4 now .

If the "Cube" design replaces PC beige boxes next year then we may know what LVG meant when he recently affirmed his view the PC is dead .

I agree with you 100%. I live in Europe and do work with various Swiss Banks! People I speak to confirm that 50% of negativity we see is due to the on-going political saga in Florida! They agree that once this is over, we will see up-grades, and a soft landing! Now all is bleak, so we go skiing in Crans-sur-Sierre and when we come back, it will be all over! LOL!

Kind regards
