I think your stereotypes need updating. A LOT of the engineers and scientists in Silicon Gulch are conservatives. Oh, and by the way, Texas, GWB's state, has its own patches of techmical creativity and innovation. So tell me, do you really believe a technical ignoramus would be on SI?
