ALibi-Dan - Re: "That must be kind of terrifying for Intel, trying to get their first copper FAB line going next year at the same time they absolutely must move to .13"

Not terrifying at all.

In fact, the development is already done - and one fab is doing quite nicely at 0.13 micron.

I even think IBM had a 0.13 micron/copper Tualatin notebook computer on display at Comdex. How do you like that progress?

Why did AMD have their 0.13 micron process slated for next month production this morning and then slip this schedule by a year since lunch time today?

Huh, Monica?

Lewinsky-Dan - Re: "That's a 40% market share."

No kidding ?

In the past 18 months, with Intel stumbling badly, AMD increased their market share from 12% to 17% -

..and with Intel's Pentium 4 now ramping in production and their 0.13 micron process starting next year, you expect AMD to more than DOUBLE THEIR MARKET SHARE in the next 12 months?

Another Blow Hard Hoot for the Blow Hard Boy !!!

Paul

With almost all Durons already capable of 900MHZ now

Dan-

But none of them are serious computers, just toys.
