And how precisely do you propose to implement this without shredding the Constitution, burning the Bill of Rights, and implementing a People's Republic?

And then do you really beleive the same rules will apply to the nomenklatura's children and yours?

I did not say that it was not a wonderful goal; I said that in the real world you cannot get there without horrible side effects.

<< PS the Soviet Union was a collection of Republics (as in " Republican" >>
Cheap shot.

But why should that same hard working person be taxed at a different rate and for that matter be taxed again when he dies. Yes the disadvantaged could use a break, (we all need a break at sometime or another), and a system we all contribute equally to should be used. It's funny, the have/havenot topic and taxation topic has been argued for many years. So why hasn't it been changed ? "The will of the people" sound familiar ? It's only natural, only a small minority work "that" hard to achieve it. We all (I would hope most) feel for the truly deprived. But let's face it, the system is "so" overly abused. So the minority can't change it and is forced to spend a lifetime of seeking loop holes to avoid it. Not saying it's right cause that too will lead to abuse. So where does that leave ya, Only 50% involvement at the start. But look how close it is and how much new wealth has been created. Think it's starting to make a difference ?? You bet !! I recently talked to a fellow from overseas, a business men, small shop owner. He told me he pays a min 55% 1st tier, then sales and so on ... totals out at about 70% of his income. He can't wait till he can stay here. I'm getting too far off my own point. So I'll just ask a question ? You got a million sitting, how much of your million are you willing to give to, let see, you sited 3 "childs", honest answer !!!
