Yeah, where are the 1,2 GHz Athlons ? It looks like since their announcement they did not make it into the retail market !! I watched Pricewatch and the retail distributers first had it scheduled for mid November and now for mid December. That is a big slipage. I hope they could at least supply some to Gateway !

Joe, Re: It is something that concerns me. [no 1.2 GHz Athlons on Pricewatch]

I read this post on JC's:

Hmm.. Interesting you should mention this. I have been hearing from several people telling me the same thing: K7 is hitting a MHz wall. AMD is telling important customers they are just having a few "growing pains" while roadmaps are being quietly adjusted.

I hope this is not true but it could be heat problems. We will know for sure when Palomino is available and Tom, Anand etc. try to overclock it...

Edit: I just saw that Lynn Compuer (yes, I know... <g>) has a price for the 1.267 GHz Athlon listed; only $10 more than for the 1.2 GHz model.

Re: "No 1.2 GigaThumpers available on Pricewatch ?
That's the AMDroid definition of a paper launch - correct?
It is something that concerns me."

I suppose the increasing slippage for ETA dates for the 1.2 GigaHumper also concerns you.
