I just love this, I really do. The American public gets to see how these guys operate when they are operating in daylight. It's wonderful.

Never ending story...........Latest developments:

Broward County canvassing board members
were to meet at 8 a.m. Saturday to try to hand
recount about 600 remaining ballots still under
dispute.

Palm Beach County canvassing board
members were set to resume their hand
recount at 8 a.m., as they attempt to identify
voter intent among some 6,000 disputed
ballots.

In Leon County Circuit Court in Tallahassee
on Friday, Judge Ralph Smith said he would
review arguments by both sides on whether to
allow overseas absentee ballots to be added to
the final state tally. Many of the ballots are
from military voters thought to be Bush
supporters. Many of the ballots were
disqualified because of technicalities.

Congressional Democrats on Friday sent a
letter to the U.S. Justice Department asking
that it look into Republican demonstrations at
canvassing boards which they say are intended
to intimidate and disrupt recount efforts. (More
on the protests and reaction to them)

Gore attorneys say they plan to contest the
certified Miami-Dade County vote count in
court because the county refused to hold a
hand recount. The Florida Supreme Court
rejected Gore's effort to force the
predominantly Democratic county to recount
its votes by hand.

Republican sources tell CNN the Florida
Legislature was not expected to meet this
weekend in an emergency session. The
possibility exists under federal law that the
Republican-controlled body could appoint
members of the Electoral College who would
support Bush, even if Gore surpasses Bush in
the total state tally. (More on the electors)

This Monday, a hearing is scheduled in a
Seminole County, Florida, court to determine
whether some 4,700 absentee ballots in the
predominantly Republican county should be
declared invalid. The suit, brought by a
Democratic activist, accuses the county
elections supervisor of illegally allowing
Republican activists to write required
registration numbers on about 4,700 absentee
ballots. Voters themselves had failed to write
the numbers on the ballots.
