Steve. On VOD, ERICY, CDMA2000 and Europe. As I recall, a Dr. Lee??, who was VOD's chief technologist is transparently fond of QCOM's CDMA and stated publicly that the game could
change greatly if 1X MC and +HDR prove to work well in Korea. It is hard to see VOD spending billions on W-CDMA when they know the score on CDMA2000.

Although we know that ERICY will sell any wireless technology that it can to improve revenues and rescue its depressed share price, nonetheless, for ERICY to reportedly ally itself with Hanaro, the lone would-be mobile operator to declare its preference for CDMA 2000, speaks volumes, imho.

I don't understand how you drew this conclusion. ERICY has consistently been ready to sell anything to anyone, ostensibly trying to stay technically neutral. Many infrastructure companies do this including LU and NT. To believe that this Hanaro deal means anything inre: CDMA2000 is to kid yourself. We have to be as critical in our thinking when things seem to go our way as we do when they don't.

I think it's conceivable that ERICY could change their mind and begin to favor CDMA2K over WCDMA, but I see no evidence of this yet.
