Here's a well thought out post from The Zoo:

This was announced at COMDEX a couple of weeks
ago. I was at the Oracle keynote session when Larry E. said
that Compaq would be the engineering partner for Oracle 9i, and
introduced Mike Capellas on stage. They both spoke about it for
a few minutes.

This is significant since there is a long historic relationship
between Oracle and Digital (now part of CPQ). Also, Mike C.
spent some time working at Oracle. The CPQ acquisiton of
Tandem also plays well into this.

Clearly, they are going after the large server and transaction
processing market. It's no longer a competition with Dell, this is
about IBM and SUN.

This stock should hit 100 within two years. The "big boys" just
haven't figured that out yet. When they do, we are golden.
