Well,

it was sort of a play on words. It would take a lot of guts to pursue after the certification SHOULD it go against him.

So people could classify it as a sign of courage in face of the fallout OR classify it as a case of stupidity.

Hence the conflicting attraction depending on where one stands, but I think you know where I stand.
