"Frankly I'm still trying to get a handle on it"

wasn't that a rhett butler line from 'gone with the wind'?

actually, it's one of the most honest and accurate statements i've ever heard from anyone regarding understanding memory performance.

"I'm going to upgrade to W2000 as soon as that truck comes by and it falls off the back"

too funny. can you imagine little computer software and hardware trucks roaming the neighborhoods the way the ice cream man used to? ringing a little bell to let us all know that he was coming? (and you following on your bicycle waiting for a ms os box to fall off the back!) <vbg>

"let us know what effects your swap file tweaks have"

will do. meter-wise, the effects are already noticeable. and the numbers go up on their own instead of down. LOL! but there is much to grasp on this subject, and i'm essentially tweaking a system that is not giving me problems. all i'm really trying to do is make it all optimum.

:)
