So it is safe to assume they are the result of sheer random chance?

Incidentally, if Mr. Weinberg is arguing that belief in design necessitates belief in a supreme designer, doesn't it follow that belief in fundamental laws would necessitate belief in a supreme lawyer?

A chilling thought.
