Ron, I believe you may have some solid contacts. Can you find out anything about the 1400 RIOT TRAINED TROOPS DISPATCHED TO WASHINGTON D.C. from Fort Bragg?

I've often explained God to "thinking people" in a form that they can understand

Hi Ron,

I'm sorry that my use of the word "believer" caused so much confusion. I wasn't talking about believing in a god so much as the way people are wired to process ideas and beliefs, in general. I didn't mean to suggest that one couldn't come to a belief in a god through a predominantly intellectual process. I can't get there, but I've seen other people do it and I respect it.

I can't really define what a "believer" is because I'm not one of them and, despite my efforts, I can't get inside their heads well enough because they don't communicate in a way I can relate to. From the outside, it appears to me to be a very emotional or gut way of operating with an extraordinary reliance on authority, especially tradition. Pretty alien to me.

Since we're on the subject, I'll add that, while I think that one could come to a belief in a god through an predominantly intellectual process, I would say that thinkers and fundamentalists are inherently incompatible.

Despite what X may opine about me, I like to consider myself a "thinking person"... :0)

X dismisses people pretty quickly. I'm more tenacious. Your posts come right out of the "believer" style guide, but I have hopes.
