eddieww, well ... we all take what we can from the data. What I got from the day originally was ... big gap up on open prices ... large spreads when volume dropped off ... tape painting at end of day. What I get from Les's post is mm's using the opportunity to walk the price up because the bigger sellers were all taking the day off. From what I saw last week the retailers were buying tech and the bigger players were selling as much as possible without the usual games. Now ... a contrarian may take that as a positive. However ... the impression I got last week was that the money managers weren't playing too many games cause they wanted to dump their tech before their pals did !!.

Hey ... differing views make a market ... so good luck. We'll find out whether the bigger boys are buying or dumping soon enough ... and if one's nimble enough it can be played from both sides (however ... that usually isn't me !!).

Regards

Stephen
