Re: "I love the Red Wings": My son is a big Red Wings fan. I'm a big Blues fan. We argue all the time about who's better. (You're right; the answer is the Avs.) I still remember the excitement of that 7th playoff game a few years back when Yzerman scored in OT for the only goal of the game. That was the year the Blues had Hull and Gretzky playing together. I remember well when Scotty Bowman took the Blues to the playoffs that first year ('66?) when the league expanded from 6 to 12 teams. A good trivia question: Which player was named MVP of the Stanley Cup final series even though his team didn't win a game?

Answer: goalie Glenn Hall of the Blues, in that first series between St. Louis and Montreal. Montreal swept the series but each game was decided by just one goal.
