The problem is in the fact that only Gore's chosen counties are being extra counted. A system that allows such a biased counting to take place, for whatever reasons claimed, ought not be confirmed as constitutional. I firmly believe most reasonable people on both sides know it is not fair to count just Gore's territory this way- the result can be neither complete nor fair. Gore is foolish in the extreme to expect acceptance of such a skewed count. He should not only offer that all applicable counties be hand-counted, he should have insisted on it.

the straight Democratic ticket for other offices,
it must have been his ``intent'' to vote for Al Gore
as well.

How many votes does Lee gets to cast, 600? He could
