Was it illegal, No Was it ethical; No. Was every vote in that election counted accurately; Yes 100%. In FL, votes are not being counted to the fullest extent in this election if they may come from the record high, first time, higher than the average nation voter turnout, poor black vote in the inner cities of Floriida. Florida and other southern staes had programs in place that discouraged these people form voting in the past. It is illegal now. Now that blacks have come out in record numbers to influence this race; no one in power in Florida wants the black vote to be accurately counted. They try to mask it by saying it was the elderly voter who skewed the vote; the butterfly ballot that skewed it. Make no mistake it it was the record black vote that needed to be undercounted in order for Bush to win. If it was a white vote, a Cuban vote, military vote sure count it twice no matter how many mistakes were were made in casting it. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, Republicans are screaming; no recounts, game over, we won. I need not say anymore since the Republican party allows the most vile of right wing, anti semite, anti forigners, anti black, anti pro choice, pro assult weapons fringe groups to stand in their ranks to reach their less than 50% 300,000 vote short electoral victory. It is these people are claiming foul from the highest mountaintops when Democratic votes are to be counted correctly. That is who you see down in Florida now. Anyway you try to sugar coat this travesty of an election by troting out half of the Republican Congress and Governors still doesn't change the result more people in Florida thought they were casting their vote for Gore and they are not being counted. Also, 4,700 absentee ballots for Bush in Duval County that were filled in incompletely and should have been rejected were doctored by Repulican operatives to make them valid. In Miami-Dale County, the votes have not been accurately counted were 6 votes turned up in a 1% sampling for Gore and 150 votes for Gore turned up in the first 20% recount for Gore. You have 500-600 votes for Gore as soon as that county is ordered to count accurately by a court since no part of a partisn Republican State Government wants to see them counted. Anyway you slice it it is still voter nullification of a mostly poor, black, working class, first time voters whose votes are not meant to be counted by the Republicans in power in Florida. I think it is such a farce that these kinder, gentlier, inclusive northerastern Republican Governors come down to Florida and proclaim questionable vote canvasing by democratic leaning counties and declare that Bush is the winner. They are just there to project the false image being given by Republicans to the masses of Democrats in the country that Gore has lost, lay down your weapons, the war is over. Trust me, the majority of people in the US know who got the most votes in the nation, in Florida and are never going to accept Bush as president elected by the people. Every vote should count weather it is for Bush, Gore, or whatever candidate that you wish to support. I seriously doubt that the Supreme Court will lie low to this second rate partisan politics that is going on down in Florida. 464 votes seperating two candidates is still too close of an election to allow Bush to claim any sort of mandate from the people until he can convince a majority of the people that he actually won honestly not just from a legally determined sense by republican partisans in Florida. I guarantee that the Secratary of State Harris, who was itching to call this election at first possible monment for Bush will now delay ad nausem until time runs out for any official contest of this election. The Republicans will tout throught their numerous Repbubican governors proclaiming on the evening news that Bush won hoping that any Democratic grass roots effort to call for honest recount in Florida fades away. Did anyone really care if Sacco and Vensetti were gulity Did anyone really care if Bruno Hauptmann really kidnapped the Lindberg baby. Did anyone really care if Ethel and Julius Rosenberg stole vital nuclear secrets. Did anyone really care if Wen Ho Lee acutally stole vital nuclear secrets. No It is just what the elite in this country want dupe the average American into believing in order to acheive thier goals. Does anyone really beleive that Bush actually won this election. Deja Vu all over again. john
