I'd like to hear John McCain say something about the Democrat challenge to the military absentee vote. Seems like he's keeping his powder dry for 2004. I knew he wasn't to be trusted.

Gore has nothing to lose by pushing the contest all the way.
Bush would have been better off by not involving the US Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court affirms the Florida Supreme Court decision, it legitimatizes the Gore contest. He can then push the contest all the way without paying a political price.
