You wouldn't have any examples where this made a difference, would you? I'm sure Intel's special issue spec compilers took advantage of the differences, but Quake was already hand-optimized for the P5.

Wow.. I'm honored to be called an expert coder. ;)

Perhaps you folks could provide me with 'just the facts' of the arguement and I will give you some real world examples/input.

(sorry I don't have time to read the whole thread.. going to launch a new beta tonight, so I'm short on time atm).
