All I meant is that the "found" Ballots reminded me of the Whitewater papers that couldn't be found in time for the court hearings but then just conveniently "showed up" on a table in a white house hallway once they couldn't be used. Now in the middle of a recount where Gore is behind and the entire State of Florida has been scrubbed looking for any kind of vote probably including under rocks, in streams etc. A stack of 500 votes miraculously turn up in a file cabinet. It may be totally legit but it sure sounds weird.

There isn't much talk about it in the press as I too searched. CNN and MSNBC talked about them yesterday but as you said, there isnt much in writing anywhere. Basically they were found in Broward ( SP) county. Stranger yet was that out of the 500 abut 475 went to Gore.

I am not sure I agree with the Greenspan article either. I think AG is waiting to see who gets the job before lowering rates as if Bush tries to proceed with tax breaks and Congress would have gone strongly Republican the risk of the tax bill being ramroddded through would have provided too much liquidity. Now that it is known that the Hill will be close to 50/50 they will likely not be able to get that bill hrough quickly if at all. AG can now probably go to a neutral bias depending on other indicators. Recall also that we still have new highs in Natural gas prices, Oil is still high and unemployment is still at the tightest level in 30 years although I think that will back off a bit soon. Even if we do slow down a bit, the economy has only slowed from 200 MPH to 125 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. We are slowing but we are far from going to far yet. We still need to slow much more and PEs still need to contract in many sectors still.

Good Luck,

Lee
