Thank you for your reasoned, yet somewhat confusing reply. Perhaps you should be in Florida. :)

Let me put it in simple terms. The Code of the West has nothing to do with goats or Brandy...except if a lonely rancher imbibes too much Brandy and has his way with a goat since there aren't any sheep around and the little woman is back east visiting her mother. In this specific case, should a neighbor lady have knowledge of the activity of the lonely rancher, she would be duty bound under the Code of the West not to inform the rancher's wife on her return.

The Code of the West applies only to those interactions and activities that fall under the Three River Rule. This rule clearly states, and I paraphrase from the code, that if the wife is more than three rivers away then the husband is deemed, for all intents and purposes, to be single, and is permitted to wink, drink and otherwise conduct himself in the manner most pleasing to himself.

The Code of the West simply states that any female that participates, either actively or passively, in said conduct shall never ever communicate such activity to any other female, spouse or otherwise, forever as long as she shall live.

Women who adhere to the strict spirit of the Code of the West, and observe the implementation of the Three River Rule, are greatly admired and loved and are justly bestowed the honor of 'being treated like one of the guys'.

I might add that while some shortsighted women are sometimes known to protest, and refuse to abide by, the Code of the West, it is understood and they are simply remitted to be viewed dimly and just not 'fully included'. But should a man violate the code this would be an extreme matter and he should be shunned and his name never spoken again.

I trust the above will provide you with a clear understanding of The Code as well as the underlying Rule. I suggest a manual recount of your intentions be conducted (dimples allowed, and in fact are encouraged) and you reply with your final answer no later than 5PM of this day.

Respectfully Submitted,
