A good short indeed. yahoo.marketguide.com SHRP has not traded at 6 dollars per share since about Dec 1998. finance.yahoo.com That's 2 years ago. Revenues have about doubled since then and at that time, they were losing money in the qrtrs following the holiday season. SHRP's numbers look strong enough that 12-15 may be the lowest we might see in the stock for a while....barring a screwup. yahoo.marketguide.com They look like they are doing pretty good to me Tony. If they keep going at this pace, the chances of a small split in the stock seem more likely to happen before a drop to 6 dollars. Retail stocks are a bumpy ride though, I won't argue that. No doubt, they will get pummelled if they screw up, especially in this market. That might spark a good buying opportunity if it happens too. For the record, you HAVE belittled the company (or the stock) since I posted I bought it. From calling it junk, to saying their products are too pricey and don't sell, to saying you could imitate their products with a can of glue....etc. I don't care if you are short, or that you are supporting your position. But I have done some business with the company now, and I have seen a different picture than what you paint. If you are gonna bash them, so be it. That's up to you. But let's be honest about what we are doing here. The stock is up 84.17% from it's absolute lows, and is down 31.9% from it's absolute highs. From a trading standpoint, I say it could go either way. Given the time of year we are in, the numbers the company has been delivering, my experience with the company, and the fact that 25% of the float has been sold short (as of Oct 9), my bet is I can get a return of between 25-50% off the stock playing it long here. If I can't, it will be because shorts have been working real hard to keep it down. That is the market we are in and I accept that. I saw them working the ask on Friday. I wish you luck, even if it is at my expense.
