Tobin is the future of Canada.

Teevee, you betray a very sad, discouraging lack of knowledge about your country and its system of government, otherwise known as the Liberal Party.

Tobin may well represent the future of Newfoundland, but he will never be Prime Minister, if precedence has any role to play in a system based on precedence.

The OTP (One True Party) has never had a leader from west of the Ontario border, or east of the Quebec boundary. That is how you ensure success. Despite the misgivings of Mr. Chretien, Mr. Martin shall wear the crown in due time.

If Ontario and Quebec were not destined to rule Canada, more people would choose not to live there.

If it's rat-packers you are looking to, may I suggest the name of Sheila Copps? She has ably demonstrated her integrity, by fulfilling her election promise to resign if she broke an election promise. Furthermore, the good citizens of Hamilton judged her worthy of prompt re-election.

Ms. Copps might be a better choice than Martin, as she is an Ontario resident, and it is time for an Anglontarian to assume the mantle of power. Mr. Martin, an Angloquebecois, would confuse the issue as much as a Francontarian would.

Regards,

WillP
