Would you settle for this? I believe I am bending over backwards with this proposal. I doubt that Bush would be for it. I bet Gore would accept this, except posslbly the part about you being the sole judge of rules pertaining to overseas ballots. You said it was not Gore's place to offer a recount of the entire state. On this WE agree, but why couldn't Bush have just said "Yes this is acceptable to me but we will leave it up to the courts to decide whether or not this is legal under Florida law." He would have looked better in EVERONE's eyes wouldn't he? He did not say this for one reason and one reason only. He thought he could lose if it happened. You know it and I know it. Would you be willing to accept the above proposal as outlined. Yes, or no?
