Yes, it is possible. Say, for example, in the next week that SI released my real name, or I posted my real name or someone who knew me revealed my real name. There are endless possibilities that could cause my real identity to be revealed, none of which are totally in my control or the person libeling. There are alternative arguments that can be made which do not require a person's real identity to be revealed. I'm afraid I have neither the time nor patience to outline these, but there is a growing body of authority supporting these positions.
