Princess Diana was a no one (imo)- and her death was blown up in the press for idiots who idolize the rich and famous. The press is there to sell papers- to the cretins who think what that what they read in the papers is true. I am talking about people who are NOT in the media, making comments that are vile about Janet Reno. The press is not nearly so vile- they, at least, have to abide by libel laws, pitiful as those laws are. The press is stupid, and greedy- to generalize- it's a business, driven by business interests. I see no cleverness whatsoever. And the press isn't monolithic either- so while there might be a few clever people in the industry, I hardly think they represent the whole- which I view as mediocre.
