When is the end of an election? Could it be after the votes are counted? Is there another "end?" Is the end defined as that which occurs after the previous variables unfold as one wishes?

I didn't like the way last year's Superbowl was played, therefore it's not over; they should reconstruct the game until I'm happy with the results. Then it will be over and the end will have occured--for me.
