Sylvester, I think these guys know that what the P4 is and what it takes to extract its full performance- that includes Tom and Scumbria who both made such big stinks about its deficiencies over the past 6 months as anonymous benchmark data was let out and clueless analyses of its 20 stage pipeline were proffered. "IT'S THE SOFTWARE STUPID!!!!" Should be the new rallying cry for the P4 benchmarks. A simple recompilation results in the 1.2GHZ Athlon getting smoked by 70% when the clockspeed improvement is only 25%. No wonder AMD is adopting SSE2!
