Re: "Toms reviews do not contradict themselves. All tests are correct, and my conclusion on all three reviews are the same: P4 is too expensive and too slow for my use"

Tom did contradict himself. First he said it's great, then he said it stinks, then he said oops, it's really great after all.

Dybdahl, <Toms reviews do not contradict themselves>

Yes, but his strong opinions change all the time.

<The biggest problem I have with Tom is that he compares systems of uneven price. I can buy 200 Athlon PCs for the price of 100 P4 PCs!>

And I can buy 400 Celeron PCs for the price of 200 Athlon PCs. So what? Say I want a system which can run Quake 3 the fastest. Would it make sense to suggest that I buy two Athlon systems instead of one Pentium 4? Of course not!

Then again, Tom did have his "price/performance" metrics in some of his previous reviews, especially those concerning Duron, because he knows that buyers of Celerons and Durons are value-concious.

DieBall - re: 'And for high-end servers, there are plenty of alternatives to consider: Alpha, Sparc, and soon Itanium... Sun doubled their market share in Europe in one year. I really start to get interested in that company. '

That wasn't the point.

The point was- AMD is NOT MAKING any sales in this area.

As a true AMDroid, you just change the subject rather than address the issue.
