thanks for the follow up. yep, that's it, all right. and like gottfried, the box is unchecked for me in w98se also.

as tips go, i suppose that was decent enough, except it left questions about how to access the option it spoke of, and then the option appears to be shut off anyway.

maybe it was a slow tip day for the tip writers.
