What about all those? Especially in states that were close? How on earth can you claim to want every vote counted but just concentrate on a couple of counties in FL.>> Excellent point...one, I hope the repubs cinsistently throw in the judges faces. The biggest thing that gets me, which I have repeated a dozen times now, is it is simply amazing to me that anybody is actually trying to determine the "intent" of the voter. That just blows my mind. Every single vote that cannot be properly tabulated...in other words every single ballot that "intent" is not 110% clear should be thrown in the trash. That is not "disenfranchising" the voter...it is called going by the rules. However, if they choose to try and determine intent, and change one vote from what it was to a different one, then that indeed is voter disenfranchising. That one person that voted for the school bonds but had a third party change his vote after the fact, is far more important then the 10,000 or 10,000,000 that "cannot be determined" without a shadow of a doubt. Bottom line, we do not go back over and change a single vote. We accpet the system as we have it, and if we dont like it we make the necessary changes to make it better, however, as it is, I don't recall it being legal to alter the constitution, change the rules and laws in midstream, without following proper procedure. To me, what would make a great point for the repubs in florida is for all 2 million folks that voted for Bush to HOUND their sneators, congressman, canvassing boards and etc.....and DEMAND that somebody proove that their vote that they cast was indeed voted for Bush and not changed to Gore because third party people think my intent was to do otherwise. If I was down there, and if I had voted for bush, I would be livid thinking that right now, somebody else could be looking at my ballot and changing my vote and I would make sure they knew it. Keith
