Un--

I just spent a week out of town. Saw a big circle of friends who do on-line trading. They are not "traders," but primarily mutual fund bagholders who trade maybe five to six stocks on the side at any one time. The consensus seemed to be use the post election relief rally to get out...at least of their short term trading positions...the good times are over. No mention was make of liquidating their core mutual fund holdings.

I was surprised to hear this kind of talk across the board...from the tech savvy guy who works for IBM to the blues musician with a day job. I puzzled as to whether or not political affiliation had anything to do with the change in attitude. Most tend to be Democrats but there's a heavy spinkling of Libertarian leaning folks in the group.

Anyone seen a market sentiment survey with political affiliation as a factor?
