I ask that you carefully read my whole answer and think about it before responding, should you choose to respond.

In this post - Message 14878429 - ColaCan states: It was Bush who said "let the votes decide".

But Bush has not done that.
He has done everything in his power to see that all the votes are NOT counted.

If all the votes had actually been counted and Bush still won, I would be willing to say: "Okay it's done, now let's move forward as a whole country."

Bush's status tonight as the certified winner is due to his cronies stating so. It is not due to what the votes have said - yet (maybe ever). Simple as that.

If and when all the votes are actually counted and he actually is the real, true, vote-verifying winner, then I will state the above quote.

What will you say if the U.S. Supreme Court finds that the Florida Supreme Court interpreted the law rather than wrote law? If this happens and if the remaining as-yet-uncounted votes actually get counted and Gore is the vote-verified winner, what will you say?

I am not a 'diehard' or 'sore loser' - it's just that Bush has NOT won by the full vote. If it should happen that, with all court cases decided & ended, that no further votes get counted (what a sad day that would be for all of us as voters) and Bush does indeed remain the winner, I will state the above quote.

This is a sincere and sincerely-curious question:
Doesn't it bother anyone at all that Bush has tried to prevent (successfully to date) all votes from being counted in order to win?

This is a sincere and sincerely-curious question:
Are Republicans truly pleased and satisfied that Bush is currently the certified winner rather than the fully vote-verified winner?

As an American (not as a Republican or a Democrat), it scares the hell out of me that anyone can possibly 'win' an election by preventing votes from being counted.

[Please don't beat the dead horse of "but the Dems didn't want the military votes counted." They challenged some of those based on the law. Like it or not, it was based on the law (with some instruction as per Katherine Harris). They did not file a lawsuit as the Republicans did to prevent counting of votes. There is a significant difference there that I believe has long since become lost in the shuffle.]
