THIS REVERSAL WAS CRITICAL... but his more considered, cautious, and fair approach also resulted in lost time during testimony - he decided to take Thanksgiving as a holiday... no recounts of disputed or dimpled ballots for 24 hours... this also resulted in lost time... this showed me that his heart was not in a Gore victory... you might recall Burton is a Gov Jeb Bush appointee to the bench - he pulled an allnighter only before the final day's deadline... again, his heart was not in it... in fact, his body language even now does NOT show deep disappointment MY HAT IS OFF TO BURTON whom I called a straight arrow a couple of days ago their final PalmBch recount was net +325 Gore, not enough now, Burton has earned a lawsuit from Boies and Gore basis: changing their criterion on dimples in the deeper intuitive recesses of my psyche, I suspect Burton knew of fraud in his County early in the gameNEXT BIG BATTLEGROUND IS DADE COUNTY WAR WILL BE WAGED BIG UPHILL BATTLE TO PREVENT PUBLIC OPINION EROSION after all this mess, with screwups, obstructions, challenges, rewritten rules, namecalling, charges & counter-charges, plackards, one thing is for sure: BUSH SUPPORTERS KNEW HOW TO VOTE BETTER THAN GORE FOLLOWERS thanks, Sue, great summary / Jim
