Doug,

Here is another one I have been following for about a year. It is going to explode soon (very soon) but hopefully not before I can get even more shares from the impatient.

A low volume stock, not good for trading. Message boards are mostly worthless but I have been in regular direct contact with the company.

Re: Mitchell (MND)

I got into it (MND) late also. I may hold on for a year or more, especially if it doesn't pop big around February when NG prices soar.

By the way, there is a good thread on Yahoo on MND, with a number of good technical analysis posts. Along with the usual Yahoo spam, of course.

The Bloomberg article sounds like someone fishing for a takeover. Investment bankers have been know to try to create deals out of thin air, and sometimes they succeed.

Based on what I have heard, that frac technique is now relatively widely know. After all the Barnett Shale was leased up, people were more willing to share their knowledge.

Specifically, I've heard that some of the developers of that frac are now with Western Atlas.

Question : Does anyone know of a company looking at a similar undeveloped shale somewhere else...Preferably close to major gas consuming area...

JQP, Enron like Mitchell has some unique methods of doing business, and I think your accumulation of Mitchell is smart.

The Dallas-Forth Worth area is power transmission line short. So any gas production located near Fort Worth that could be used by say the new TIELP (50/50 JV of Panda Int'l out of Dallas and PSEG Global out of New Jersey) or other power plants going in near Wichita Falls etc.

That is, Mitchell may have some ready made local gas markets where he can save transportation charges and sell his NG for a premium....
