why not allow adequate time to complete it?
fair and accurate?

FL SupCt set the deadline, period (crybaby)
Democratic county commissioners ran the show locally (wake up)

If Harris were a democrat, she would've found adequate reason to allow PBC a few more hours to complete the manual recount. But she's not.

Harris is involved in Bush FL campaign
Butterworth is her Attorney General, involved in Gore camp
neither had the authority to extend deadline
why not appeal to FL SupCourt for more time (pathetic)

Think Gore or Bush nominees are more likely to do this?

I trust Bush ability to delegate and appoint far more than Gore's
Albert the Lesser demonstrated zero respect for law in this process

>> But considering that possibly 4 US supreme court justices will be nominated by the next president, justices who will determine the limits of YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM, what would you say if they turned back ROE vs WADE?

Candidates will have to be confirmed by the US Congress, which will be controlled by moderates of both stripes. There will be no opportunity for Bush to stack the court.

Hive,

now come on, you know why. Hell we might have lost. You know every move in this crap is political. It is basically who can get away with the most through all legal and political channels and still win.

"The common man supporting Republicans. LMAO!!"

You've no doubt seen the map of the United States showing county by county those won by Bush and those won by Gore.

Did it strike you as elitist?

HM,

(1)Harris cut off the manual recount from PBC, so that's not an actual fair and accurate

Harris was enacting the deadline established by the democratically controlled Florida Supreme Court. Don't remember them saying "Well, we'll set a 5:00 pm deadline but if certain counties want more time that's okay. They said 5:00 PM PERIOD.

(2)That every vote does indeed count, unless your county or the Sec. State hasn't the time to count it.

If the state of Florida has such an antiquated voting system, I assume you think it is fair that the rest of the country waits several more weeks while they use everyone's fingers and toes to "count" the vote??

(3)If Harris were a democrat, she would've found adequate reason to allow PBC a few more hours to complete the manual recount. But she's not.

Bullshit, BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT!!! She is going to face contempt of court charges even if she was a Democrat? I think not. Talk about SOUR GRAPES!!!

(4)what would you say if they turned back ROE vs WADE? Think Gore or Bush nominees are more likely to do this? You can bet your freedom BUSH nominees would.

You have obviously forgotten what the make up of the House and the Senate is. It is almost a 50 / 50 split between the two parties. Any judges that would be nominated will be moderate leaning at best, There is no way a strictly conservative nominee will be accepted by the congress as it is currently made up. I will agree that the Democrats stand to lose a lot of seats in 2 years depending on Gore's actions in the next several days. He may give the Demos such a black eye that it costs them dearly in 2 years. Then your fears may come true.
