With all due respect you reasoning is flawed. Profit potential and more importantly perception was dampen by the Fed attempts to slow the economy, under the misguided fear inflationary forces. The FED premise for their fear has been a tight job market. I contend the economy will always find away around tight job market with more and more use of technology. The economy was well on the way to proving the above to the FED with the increasing productivity numbers. Now we are seeing the actual data change of the FED dampening perception as it moves to reality as they re-create the business cycle.
