Frank, you're right about Democrats lying. I saw MSNBC claiming today that Florida law says that when they find "an error in the vote tabulation which could affect the outcome of the election, the county canvassing board shall...Manually recount all ballots." The only trouble is, when you look at what was replaced by the ellipsis, it is clear that they seriously altered the meaning by not providing a more complete quote. What it actually says is that in the event that a partial manual recount "indicates an error in the vote tabulation which could affect the outcome of the election, the county canvassing board shall
(a) Correct the error and recount the remaining precincts with the vote tabulation system;
(b) Request the Department of State to verify the tabulation software; or
(c) Manually recount all ballots."

(102.166 Florida Statutes)

So the network hid the fact that the complete manual recount was only one out of three options available to Miami-Dade County. I also saw Alan Dershowitz misquoting the statute in the same way, which surprised me, because he is a big-time lawyer, who one would think would be more careful about things like that.

However, the evidence I've seen shows that both parties are lying about one thing or another.
