Yes it's dangerous when one party orchestrates a stoppage of legal vote counting. That is undemocratic and very un-American. It also smacks of a coup d'etat. Still it's also a game and behavior to be expected.

It's the top of the ninth inning. Gore still has several batters coming up but is behind by one run. What if one Gore batter clubs a homer with a man on? Then if Gore strikes out the side in the bottom of the ninth he wins. Or we could also go extra innings (ugh).
