That is one of my favorite looks.

I think it is interesting that the index seems to be following a very similar pattern that it drew from 1997 to late 1998... as it rose out of the '74 rising channel and returned back in twice. The second return into the 74 channel seemed to occur after a rally back to the point of breakdown.

I think there is a good chance of that happening again now in the compx...and the BTK for that matter, as a rally back to the point of breakdown is common in bear ( or down trending) markets.

Also, if you have a moment, could you briefly explain the difference between a semi log and log scale,and the advantages or disadvantages of one over the other. I'm almost certain that this has been discussed here before, and I don't want to distract the thread, but it would be a great help if the opportunity presents itself.
