chiropractors officially believe that all human ailments are caused by misalignments

I think that is right. Didn't Jim say that he went to one for his allergies? I know of many people who swear by them, but I am leery of someone who has to manipulate your body in order for it to feel better (ok Baldy, let's hear a one liner for that one - I think I just set myself up for one!).

yep.. this chiropractor said he could CURE my asthma.. and although before I saw him I NEVER had any back or neck pain.. I've sure had it constantly since August.. I should have listened to my family who suggested I not go see him

after 15 sessions... I stopped seeing him but it was too late.. he appears to have closed shop cuz I drove by and the place is up for lease

I called a lawyer but I have no case because NO "permanent" damage was done

Not to turn this into the chiropractor thread, but all a chiropractor really does is massage your back...these guys are the biggest bunch of crooks going...they pretend to be MD like in character and in title, but kinda "big hat no cattle" syndrome and once they have you on their radar screen, they sell services to you like a used car salesman...also, haven't people learned through the yrs that anyone claiming to fix all that ails a person (from lower back pain to arthritis to asthma, etc, etc) based on a simple massage techniqe is better off finding some snake oil and asking the "doc" to rub that in as well...best for back ailments and much more invigorating and fun is a good deep shiatsu massage and at about 1/2 the price.
