To say that 3G will make wireless handsets behave more like PC's is a bit offensive, to those of us that are categorically fed up with PC computing. I resist the notion of paying for MSFT Window's and INTC Pentium technolgies which are not evolutionary upgrades. True, it is theoretically possible to manually replace the componenets and software, however, the new platforms are usually interdependent on one another.

The invention of digital CDMA ushers in the concept of network computing with Sprint PCS acting as my new software and hardware provider. PCS replaces MSFT's OS and INTC's Pentium. The only thing that has not happened yet in the demolition of the PC pyramid is the replacement of PC computers with HDR enabled network computers. In this new era, I could argue that MSFT and INTC offer no value to the evolving food chain of new information services.
