Don't know when I might eventually sell AEM. It's a LT position which means am (by design) more patient than is the case with a scalp or ST trading position.

For me, the gold and gold share markets are much more difficult to read than the various sub-sectors of the energy industry, or for that matter even the broad stock market.

Having offered that disclaimer<g>, do think we are setting up for at least a nice ST rally in the gold stocks.

I wouldn't pull the sell trigger too soon unless you are trading for fractions. still a good amount of metal shorts in hedge funds which could push a covering uptrend. Stocks have about 20% upside to reach fair value relative to bullion.

The dollar has been stubbornly strong due for reasons that I believe will diminish in the short/medium term.

demand for petrodollars
safe haven move from emerging economies
repatriation of off-shore investments by U.S. institutions

I'd give gold a little leash for the moment
