I think a few of us doubted AMD's ability to MFG on-die big cache CPUs, or maybe it was just you me and Paul? So now maybe the truth comes out. Instead of the AMD mantra that "Mustang just didn't make sense right now, yada yada yada", maybe they flat out just can't make it. By the by, it's even worse than Briefing/Robby Stephens says, because the big cache chips, if that's what they're referring to, won't see light of day until hammer-time, early 2002.

I heard the delay was caused because the AMD CAD software had to be completely recompiled to run on their new Xerox machine.
